Hello My Name Is...
Senia Vides

I am a Native to Honduras, Central America. I Completed all the requirements for a Professional Clear Bilingual Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) Multiple Subject Credential at California State University of San Bernardino. I attained a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Spanish, and a Minor Degree in Spanish. I am currently completing a Master of Science in Advanced Teaching Practices specializing in Assessment Literacy. I have two sons and an amazing husband. My sons are active militaries in the United States Navy and my husband is in law enforcement. I am fortunate to be part of Washington Elementary School since 2017. Working with children, on a daily basis is a passion, an honor, and a privilege. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing community while committing to gaining and sharing expertise on what I love. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading, serving my community, and exercising. Most of all, I love to spend time with family and friends.
It has been fifteen years since I accomplished my desired aspiration of becoming an inspired educator. It is a life-long process but while exteriorizing my educational beliefs, it is of great significance to communicate my response to choosing the teaching career and no other. This quote by, Ignacio Estrada, represents my teaching philosophy, “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn”. Teaching is a continuous regeneration of thoughts and literacies. I teach because I have longed discerned that I need to be able to choose wisely and widely upon the abundant inquiry based teaching options accessible in professional literature. Personal interaction with my students is one of the most valuable aspects of my teaching. My life has meaning and direction when my student’s lives have direction and meaning. Being able to make a difference in a child’s life is a sublime endeavor that fulfills my entire self. Effectuating affinity with my students is the core value to the betterment of a rapport with my scholars. I strive to preserve a classroom atmosphere that is conducive to learning, is student centered and promotes dialogue. I teach because I am in love with literacy and yearn to transform my inner mind and soul to arrange and reshape a student’s life, a classroom’s vision and society to make the world a better place for living.
